Campus Director, International Beauty Institute

The beauty, aesthetics, and dermatology field is a vast and diverse industry with a focus on skin health at its core, and full of opportunities. The International Beauty Institute (IBI) is innovating the educational experience by offering program paths that are based on individualized career goals.

IBI has positioned its institutions at the forefront of technology in the areas of aesthetics, skin care, make-up artistry, and microblading by providing the latest equipment used in professional clinics and spas around the world. Lydia Villmann, Campus Director at IBI, believes that training students to become aesthetic industry professionals with a solid foundation of relevant business and entrepreneurial skills is just as important as providing world-class instructors and training tools.

With small class sizes and a true 70/30 split between hands-on experience and classroom training, IBI offers workshops, certificates, and diplomas that can cater to casual, part-time, and full-time students and are often a great fit for people interested in pursuing a second career path.

The International Beauty Institute is innovating the educational experience by offering program paths that are based on individualized career goals.

IBI offers a large selection of individual classes for anyone wanting to try an aesthetics course, and four main diploma programs: Medical Aesthetics, Advanced Medi Spa Therapist, Spa Therapist, and Laser Technician.

“Dermatology is based more on utilizing medical-grade treatments that require a medical director, and aesthetic treatments are typically what we think of as spa-based services like manicures, pedicures, waxing, and massages,” explains Villmann. “Medical aesthetics are more geared towards laser and light therapies, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion techniques — but taking care of your skin is the main focus of them all.”

Whether your primary interest is overall skin health, developing professional make-up artistry skills, or being trained in medical aesthetics, IBI is constantly focused on being at the forefront of the beauty industry and is here to help you take the next steps in your beauty career today, and all year-round.
