Most Canadians simply don’t get enough magnesium in their diets. According to Health Canada, 65 percent of Canadians suffer from magnesium deficiency and feel the effects in a range of symptoms including stress, fatigue, poor sleep, and irritability.

Linda Bolton, CEO and co-founder of Natural Calm Canada, discovered the power of magnesium 15 years ago. Linda’s younger sister recommended the Natural Calm product line to her after noticing significant improvements to her own chronic migraines. Linda also began using the product for insomnia and muscle pain, and was shocked at how effective it was. She brought Natural Calm Magnesium to Canada in 2005, and it’s now one of the best-rated supplements for its highly-absorbable, effective formula.

But Natural Calm doesn’t just help Canadians improve their health. When Linda and her husband, Dale, founded Natural Calm Canada, they also committed to becoming a force for good.

Thousands reached

On a trip to Kenya in 2005, Linda and Dale were blown away to learn about the 34 million orphans living in poverty across Africa. Dale, who had grown up on a farm, saw the potential of the land and its perfect conditions for growing food. That’s how the couple founded Thrive for Good (formerly Organics 4 Orphans), a charity that equips communities with the tools and knowledge to grow organic food and natural medicine.

By addressing hunger and disease, Thrive makes it possible for those in extreme poverty to become self-sufficient and improve their future. With over $3 million in donations from sales of Natural Calm in Canada, Thrive has helped more than 800 communities in 20 countries and impacted thousands of lives.
